So today I had a consultation with a surgeon about this thing that I had on my hand (I could have said "have" but the title spoiled this post) So I was in the waiting room—you know, waiting—until they called my name. I walked past a bunch of angry folk who've been waiting for roughly the same amount of time as me until I arrived into my room, and behold, a surgery room. A nurse walked in and started to prepare everything that I needed for a surgery (I started to mentally freak out at this point because this was supposed to be a consultation, you know, talk talk and no cut cut.).
The doctor walked in, saw the thing that I had on my hand which looked a lot like a black rupee from The Legend of Zelda games (possibly worth a million Rupees) made me sign a thingy (I read the thingy) and said "Okay, this wont take long" and he began the numbing process (At this point, I was more relaxed because while I was freaking out, the list of Pros and Cons was completed and the Pros won by a landslide.)
The surgery started 10 minutes after the hand injection, I was fully awake and staring at my hand while he did his thing (It was gross but fascinating, we also joked around a lot by bringing some dark comedy into the mix) then he burned part of the wound (burn baby burn) and began the stitching (that part felt weird). After all that which lasted possibly 15 minutes, I was up and on my way home.
I don't feel the pain yet, but according to the doc, it will hurt.
Rawr!
